CHIMICA GENERALE ED INORGANICA I - CHIMICA GENERALE ED INORGANICA II G - O
Module CHIMICA GENERALE ED INORGANICA II

Academic Year 2024/2025 - Teacher: AURORE FRAIX

Expected Learning Outcomes

The course deepens some subjects of the preparatory course in General Chemistry I. Particular attention is paid to the study of the chemical properties of the main transition elements of block d, of the structure and reactivity of their coordination complexes as well as of their role in biological systems. This is in order to facilitate the understanding of related topics developed in other courses of the Degree Course.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

A 90 minutes  written test must be passed. The test is based upon 5 numerical exercises. Completing one exercise guarantees 6 points, for a maximum of 5x6 = 30 points. There is no subsequent oral exam.

To pass written test, after registering electronically, students must provide a valid identity document.

During the test students are allowed to consult the periodic table, to use the scientific calculator, as well as personal notes; the use of the mobile phone is absolutely forbidden and, as a consequence, the mobile must be switched off.

Examples of frequently asked questions and / or exercises

Electronic configurations of metal complexes
