Lucia MONTENEGRO
Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and technological applications of chemistry [CHEM-08/A]
Prof. Lucia Montenegro received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Catania, Italy, in 1992 and thereafter was a Post-Doctoral research fellow. She specialized in Cosmetic Sciences at the University of Ferrara in 1996. She is researcher of the Department of Drug Sciences, University of Catania, Italy and a teacher at the same University (course Chemistry of Cosmetic Products, degree in Pharmacy). She has published 83 papers and she is a reviewer of reputed international journals.
Research interests include development and characterization of nano-carriers for drug delivery to the brain and for topical pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations.
