Lo studente alla fine del corso e a superamento dell’esame dovrebbe possedere le abilità linguistiche per interagire con parlanti di lingua inglese a livello intermedio e poter seguire e interagire in corsi di carattere settoriale.
Obiettivi:
A livello B2 del CEFR ( The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) lo studente dovrebbe capire le idee principali di un testo complesso su contenuti astratti e concreti, includendo argomenti del linguaggio settoriale del campo di specializzazione. Inoltre dovrebbe interagire con spontaneità e scorrevolezza e senza sforzo. Il corso include 35 ore di lezione che potrebbero non essere ( per alcuni studenti) abbastanza per raggiungere gli obiettivi suddetti. Pertanto il docente darà, agli studenti meno preparati, del materiale extra da studiare individualmente.
Modalità di svolgimento dell'insegnamento

Il corso sarà svolto attraverso un approccio comunicativo, in cui saranno esercitate le abilità linguistiche.
Il corso inizierà con un test d'ingresso al fine di valutare la preparazione degli studenti. Per gli studenti con una preparazione non adeguata si consiglierà di svolgere attività didattiche integrative.
Si darà ampio spazio alle attività di “speaking” e particolare attenzione all’acquisizione del lessico relativamente al linguaggio della lingua settoriale.
L’attenzione dello studente sarà focalizzata su diversi elementi: situazione, background culturale, l’argomento, le informazioni principali e quelle specifiche ecc...
Video di carattere grammaticale e sul linguaggio settoriale saranno presentati al fine di favorire abilità di comprensione, riassumere e ricostruire un testo sia oralmente che per iscritto.

Prerequisiti
Per raggiungere il livello B2 occorre partire almeno dal livello B1+ del Quadro Comune Europeo nelle seguenti abilità linguistiche, (CEFR.):
Comprensione (ascolto e lettura), Interazione (parlato e scrittura), Produzione (parlato e scrittura).
Frequenza lezioni
Modalità di frequenza.
Ciascuna lezione si compone di 3 ore di attività didattica, tranne l’ultima che sarà di 2 ore.
Come già detto il corso è diviso in 2 parti:
1) 15 ore di lezione di carattere grammaticale, tuttavia senza trascurare le “language skills”;
2) 20 ore di lezioni sulla microlingua specifica del corso di “Farmacia”.
La frequenza minima all’attività didattica almeno dovrà essere del 70% sull’intero corso.
Contenuti del corso
l corso mira a sviluppare le abilità degli studenti nell’ambito della grammatica livello B2 e del lessico e delle funzioni linguistiche dell’inglese specialistico al fine di costruire un bagaglio linguistico utile per l’analisi dei testi di ambito squisitamente medico-scientifico.
Alla fine del corso, gli studenti saranno in grado di comprendere un ampio spettro di testi in inglese e di impiegare la lingua in modo flessibile ed efficace nel contesto accademico e professionale, in particolare per quello che concerne i diversi aspetti dell’inglese dell'ambito degli studi " Farmacia"
Il corso si articolerà in due parti: nella prima verranno affrontati aspetti di natura linguistica, grammaticale e sintattica della lingua inglese; nella seconda parte verranno studiati testi e argomenti di natura scientifica in lingua inglese.
1^ parte: Grammatica .
Contenuti (15 ore)
Grammatica : Ampliamento dei concetti delle seguenti strutture grammaticali:
1) Future tenses: will, be going to, future continuous and perfect, quantifiers;
2) Past tenses: present perfect, present perfect continuous, and past perfect, past perfect continuous, used to vs would, + be used to, and get used to;
3) Comparatives and superlatives, expressions using comparison. Have /get something done;
4) Defining relative clauses, non defining relative clauses, -ing form vs infinitive, verb+ing form and infinitive , question tags;
5) Modals: suggestions, speculation and deductions, possibility, certainty, ability, obligation, necessity and advice;
6) The passive voice, first, second, third and mixed conditionals, the gerund and the infinitive, like, would rather, had better, reported statements, questions, reporting verbs;
