Three PhD studentships focused on GPCR are available at Coventry University's Centre for Health and Life Sciences. The application deadline is the 16th of January 2025 for a start in October 2025.
These PhD studentships are part of the Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP), which unites six leading UK universities in an ambitious mission to drive innovative, world-class research in life sciences and bolster the UK’s growing bioeconomy.
Our studentships offer a comprehensive support package, including fees (the cost of the UK fee rate), a tax-free annual stipend, a travel and conference budget, a generous consumables budget, and the use of a MacBook Pro for the duration of the programme.

Here is more general information about the studentships:

The three interdisciplinary projects are designed to train the student in both wet lab and molecular modelling:

1) Tuning G protein-coupled receptor pharmacology with a novel drug design approach (computation and wet-lab pharmacology)
2) Targeting novel molecular mechanisms of family B G-protein-coupled receptors for drug discovery (wet-lab pharmacology and computation)
3) Dynamic S-acylation of the β2-Adrenergic Receptor (wet-lab biochemistry and computation)

Applications are welcome through the Coventry University portal:
